When a big move happens in the National Football League, it often becomes the biggest story in the sports world. On Wednesday, the Buffalo Bills traded wide receiver Stefon Diggs along with two day three picks to the Houston Texans for the 42nd overall pick.
The news travels far and fast including on shows that are airing live. Stephen A. Smith spoke highly of the Texans trading for Diggs, saying that where Diggs goes, quarterbacks get better.
"I've been talking about it since the summertime. I said Stefon Diggs didn't want to be there, this is validation. I understand that people want to act like this is just a trade. No, the man has wanted out. He lost belief in the franchise and he was wearing his emotions on his sleeve.
"There is no denying that DeMeco Ryans is a sensationan young coach, he was my coach of the year. I understand (Diggs) can come across as a bit petulant at times, Josh Allen elevated once (Stefon) Diggs arrived. Wherever he goes, quarterbacks look better."
Smith is 100% right on this. Diggs has continuously elevated quarterbacks throughout his career from Teddy Bridgewater to Josh Allen. How much he elevates C.J. Stroud this season will be a must-watch throughout the year. You can watch the full clip of Smith here.
