There wasn't much rust for the Titans on Tuesday, as they comfortably rolled over the Bills for a 42-16 victory.

Tennessee hadn't played a game in 16 days — its Week 4 game was postponed to later in the season because of multiple COVID-19 outbreaks. But the Bills looked like the less prepared team, committing two turnovers on offense and anotheer special teams while giving up a couple of big returns.

Ryan Tannehill completed 21 of 28 passes for 195 yards and three TDs, and added 42 yards rushing and a TD on the ground. Derrick Henry carried 19 times for 57 yards (3.0 YPC) and two TDs. The Titans recorded 334 yards of total offense compared to 370 for the Bills, but four of their six touchdowns came on drives of 30 yards or less.

Buffalo's string of mistakes started on the first possession of the game when Bills QB Josh Allen's pass behind Andre Roberts was tipped and picked off by Malcom Butler, setting up a TD toss from Tannehill to A.J. Brown for a 7-0 Titans lead.

Allen bounced back on the next possession and led a TD drive to tie things up. But late in the opening period, Buffalo's punt team allowed Kalif Raymond to return it all the way to the 30-yard line. That set up Tennessee with another short field and another easy touchdown on a 1-yard run by Henry to make it 14-7.

The Titans capped off a great first half with a 12-play, 90-yard touchdown drive led by Tannehill, who ran it in from 10 yards out to give Tennessee a 21-10 lead at the break.

Allen finally looked to have regained his poise on the first drive of the second half, only to throw another interception to Butler, who ran it all the way down to the Buffalo 12-yard line. Tannehill hit Jonnu Smith for a 4-yard TD to make it 28-10.

Buffalo got a consolation score in the fourth quarter to somewhat make a game of it, but Tennessee scored on the ensuing possession with a 9-yard rush by Henry, then recovered a fumble on the following kickoff and scored again on a 7-yard pass from Tannehill to Smith to ice the game.

9:52 p.m. —  TOUCHDOWN TITANS.  Tannehill rolls out and hits a wide open Smith for the easy score. Tennessee leads 42-16 with 1:59 remaining.

9:47 p.m. —  Jeremy McNichols fumbles the kickoff and that'll pretty much do it. Titans have it at the Bills' 22-yard line.

9:42 p.m. — TOUCHDOWN TITANS.  Henry bounces it to the outside and coasts for a 9-yard score. Tennessee leads 35-16 with 3:57 remaining.

9:41 p.m. — Timeout Bills.  First charged timeout. Titans have it, third and 2 at the Buffalo 9-yard line.

9:33 p.m. — Timeout Tennessee.  First charged timeout. Titans have it, third and 7 at the Buffalo 29-yard line with 5:39 to play.

9:26 p.m. —  TOUCHDOWN BILLS.  Allen throws one on a rope to T.J. Yeldown in the back of the end zone. 2-point conversion fails, Titans' lead is trimmed to 28-16 with 10:00 left in regulation.

9:08 p.m. — TOUCHDOWN TITANS.  Tannehill hits Jonnu Smith on a slant after a roughing the passer on third down gave them a new set of downs. Tennessee leads 28-10 with 1:49 left in the third quarter.

9:04 p.m. —  INTERCEPTION.  Allen is picked off again by Butler, who nearly takes it to the house. Titans have it at the Bills' 8-yard line, 3:05 left in the third quarter.

8:52 p.m. —  The Bills' defense steps up to get a stop. Buffalo will be backed up though inside its own 3-yard line, 9:50 to play in the third quarter.

8:44 p.m. —  Titans get the ball to start the second half, ball at their 12-yard line.

8:28 p.m. —  TOUCHDOWN TITANS.  Tannehill scrambles in untouched from 10 yards out and Tennessee leads 21-10 with 16 seconds left in the half. The Bills kneel it to run out the clock.

8:15 p.m. —  2-minute Warning:  Titans have the ball, first and 10 at their 28-yard line.

8:13 p.m. —  A quick three and out for the Bills and the Titans get the ball back at their 15-yard line. That's a 74-yard punt by Corey Bojorquez. Pat McAfee would be proud.

8:10 p.m. —  The Titans stall out in plus territory and opt to punt over gambling a 55-yard attempt by Stephen Gostkowski. Bills have it at their 9-yard line, 3:55 remaining in the half.

7:47 p.m. — TOUCHDOWN TITANS.  Derrick Hentry punches it in from 1 yard out and the Titans lead 14-7 with 13:54 left in the first half.

7:44 p.m. —  END OF 1Q: Titans 7, Bills 7.  Tennessee has it, second and 8 at the Buffalo 18-yard line to start the second quarter.

7:39 p.m. —  An ugly drive for Buffalo and Kalif Raymond returns the punt all the way to the Bills' 30-yard line with 1:59 left in the first quarter.

7:33 p.m. —  The Bills force a punt and get the ball back at their 9-yard line, 3:53 remaining in the first quarter.

7:26 p.m. — TOUCHDOWN BILLS.  Isaiah McKenzie gets in the end zone on a jet sweep toss for a 3-yard reception. It's tied up at 7-7 with 6:02 left in the first quarter. That was a nice bounceback drive by Allen.

The Week 5 game between the Bills and Titans, originally scheduled Sunday at 1 p.m. ET, was moved to Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET in order to accomodate Tennessee's dealings with COVID-19.
