Stephon Gilmore won't be returning to the field this season.
The Bills placed the cornerback on season-ending injured reserve Wednesday because of a shoulder injury, the team announced.

Gilmore suffered a torn labrum while tackling Texans running back Akeem Hunt in Buffalo's Week 13 win over Houston. He had surgery to repair the injury, according to NFL.com.
The Bills signed outside linebacker/defensive end Max Valles from the Raiders' practice squad to fill Gilmore's spot on the roster. The rookie was a sixth-round draft pick out of Virginia.
