The Lions' storybook-like season continues in a fitting place at they make the trek out west to SoFi Stadium to battle the Chargers. Typically the doormats of the NFL, Detroit is a laughing stock no more, firmly planted as a contender in the NFC. Now their show is ready to perform in Hollywood, hoping to improve to 7-2 and inching closer to the coveted NFC North crown that's eluded them since 1993. Plenty has changed in 30 years, but the Lions' mediocrity has been a constant. Jared Goff is quarterbacking this offense with great success, all while Dan Campbell marches up and down the sidelines laughing at all the doubters that thought he was just a meathead. They're playing inspired football that would could make even the most cynical person into a believer.
Fresh off the bye, their next test comes against the Chargers who can't get out of their own way. The defense is a problem beyond Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa, while the offense was stuck in quicksand against the Jets on Monday night. Justin Herbert has been mostly spared of criticism for poor play thanks to Brandon Staley's presence as head coach, but the quarterback still has his team firmly back in the playoff race as the race to the finish begins to take shape. In one of the best matchups of Week 10, this one is a must-see with only overs on the menu.
That's why we're headed over to our friends from Sports Interaction, who we're hoping is in the giving mood when our bets cash on Sunday afternoon.

1. Sam LaPorta, TE, Lions — OVER 49.5 receiving yards (-115)
Staley's Chargers struggle to defend tight ends and they're facing a good one in Week 10. The rookie LaPorta has impressed in his first season, establishing himself as the second option behind Amon-Ra St. Brown in the passing game. L.A. is giving up 69 yards per game to the position this season, second-worst in the league. With the rookie besting this number in two straight and five of eight on the year, it only makes sense that LaPorta cashes in against a defense that's been abused by Travis Kelce, Cole Kmet and Tyler Conklin in three straight weeks.
2. Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, Lions — OVER 83.5 receiving yards (-110)
St. Brown is over the century mark in three straight and in five of the last six. He's going home to play in the area where it all began and gets a matchup against a secondary that is ranked as one of the worst in the sport. They're allowing the fourth most yards to receivers (191.3) and that number was brought back down to earth thanks to the gravitational pull from the anchors of the Jets and Bears' offenses. The Lions don't have that problem and this game projects to be a shootout made for TV. Back St. Brown to put on a show in Hollywood.
3. Austin Ekeler, RB, Chargers — OVER 4.5 receptions (-110)
This game isn't one for the running game, unless you're willing to catch the ball out of the backfield. Points, and plenty of them, will be scored. Luckily for Ekeler, that's music to his ears as the air guitar strummer has been heavily involved in the passing game since returning to the lineup. He's only gone over this number in one of five games this season, so history isn't exactly on our side. Then again, the Lions have also allowed the fourth fewest receptions per game to opposing running backs (3.5). So at this point you're likely wondering why Ekeler is being featured here. With the Lions defense set to bring the heat with Aidan Hutchinson and friends on defense, we expect Ekeler to be involved in the quick passing game as a way to slow down the rush. Plus, we saw that on Monday night against the Jets, with Ekeler seeing seven targets. It marked the second straight game with at least seven targets, but the running back could only bring in two last week. But that was the fault of Ekeler's who couldn't hang onto the ball if his life depended on it. Those drops won't continue and those receptions will tick up. That starts Sunday in L.A.
4. Gerald Everett, TE, Chargers — OVER 25.5 receiving yards (-120)
One of the areas to exploit the Lions is through using the tight end. Detroit is allowing the sixth most yards to the position this season (59.6) and Everett has a low total set for this game. The Chargers' tight ends can be a little hit or miss, but Justin Herbert will be looking to bounce back after a bad showing last week. That should indicate we'll get some quick throws for Herbert to find a rhythm in the early going and Everett should be near the top of that list of targets without a second option cemented in behind Keenan Allen.
