Big Ben Roethlisberger isn't so big anymore.
The Steelers' quarterback looked trim at a recent University of Pittsburgh practice. According to Roethlisberger’s agent, Ryan Tollner, the two-time Super Bowl champ has shed 15 pounds this offseason using a “high-cardio” workout plan with team trainers.

"He couldn't really work out because he kept getting hurt," Tollner said (via ESPN.com). "I think he said after the season, you know what, I'm going to lose weight to alleviate potential pain in my joints."

Listed at 6-5, 240 pounds, Roethlisberger, 34, is known for taking a beating in and outside the pocket, so if he can do his part to take care of his body he could add a couple prime years to his career.
Roethlisberger missed four games in 2015 with an MCL sprain and a bone bruise. He also battled a foot sprain.
