The XFL kicked off this weekend for its 2023 reboot.

The XFL is a new reincarnation of the professional football league that twice folded earlier in the 2000s. They have eight teams, four in the North and four in the South, that are scheduled to play a 10-week regular season. The championship game is set for Saturday, May 13.

The BattleHawks have some valuable NFL experience on their coaching staff. Their head coach, Anthony Becht, not only spent 12 seasons as a tight end (2000-2011), but also served as a tight ends coach for the San Diego Fleet. They also have Ricky Proehl, who was part of the Rams' 2000 Super Bowl run when they were in St. Louis.

The BattleHawks' roster features starting quarterback A.J. McCarron, who is joining the XFL after spending almost a decade in the NFL with the Bengals, Bills, Raiders, Texans and Falcons. Running back Brian Hill and wide receivers Marcell Ateman and Darrius Shepherd have also spent time in the NFL before joining the BattleHawks.

The Brahmas have former Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward as head coach. He’s going to be tasked with an offense headlined by running back Kalen Ballage, who was drafted in the NFL in 2018 from Arizona State by the Dolphins before playing for the Jets, Chargers and Steelers.

San Antonio also has running back Jacques Patrick, who has direct XFL experience from playing with the then Tampa Bay Vipers in their shortened 2020 season, and quarterback Jawon Pass, who succeeded Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson at Louisville before he transferred out to Texas Prairie View A&M.

Here is a complete guide to watching the St. Louis vs. San Antonio game on Sunday, including the start time and TV channel for the XFL's Week 1 schedule.
