The Patriots pulled off a trade for the second consecutive day, this time with the Browns for pass-rusher Barkevious Mingo, the teams announced Thursday.

Mingo hasn't lived up to the expectations of the No. 6 pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, and New England hoping to get something out of the speedy pass-rusher.

The Patriots sent a 2017 fifth-round draft pick to the Browns as compensation, according to Cleveland.com. It's a relatively low-risk move by the franchise that took another Cleveland castoff (Jabaal Sheard) last season and made him into a valuable asset.

It's also worth nothing the Patriots traded for offensive lineman Jonathan Cooper this offseason, the player taken No. 7 overall in 2013.

As for the Browns, they now have just one first-round pick on their roster from 2011-14, and that player (Justin Gilbert) may be out soon, as well.
