Falcons-Seahawks stats, box score
The Atlanta Falcons held on for a 34-31 win in Seattle on Monday night as the Seahawks' game-tying field goal attempt with seven seconds left came up just short.
Atlanta had an 11-point lead with 3:52 to play but the Seahawks answered with a quick touchdown before regaining possession and driving into Falcons territory with time winding down. Blair Walsh missed a 52-yard field goal try and Atlanta came away with the victory.

Both teams are now 6-4.
Matt Ryan threw for two touchdowns and running back Tevin Coleman added another score on the ground to lead the Falcons. Atlanta’s defense also forced a pair of turnovers. Russell Wilson recorded three total touchdowns for Seattle in the losing effort.

11:46 p.m.: Blair Walsh is set to attempt a 52-yard field goal to tie the game.
11:44 p.m.: Seattle moves into Atlanta territory on a 10-yard run by Wilson. The Seahawks have it at the Atlanta 42 with 30 seconds remaining.
11:38 p.m.: The Seahawks sack Ryan on third down and immediately call a timeout. They get the ball back trailing by three with 1:46 remaining.
11:34 p.m.: Atlanta returns the kickoff to their 15 and they have the ball with 2:54 to play. Seattle has just one timeout remaining.
11:32 p.m.: Touchdown, Seahawks. Wilson connects with a wide-open Doug Baldwin down the middle for a 29-yard score. The Seahawks go for two and they convert, cutting the deficit to 34-31 with three minutes to play.

11:23 p.m.: Field goal, Falcons. Ryan completes a long pass to Julio Jones for 29 yards and Terron Ward follows with a 17-yard run, moving the Falcons inside Seattle’s 10. Three plays later, Derrick Coleman takes a handoff and appears to get in the end zone, but after review, he’s marked down inside the 1. Matt Bryant kicks a short field goal to put Atlanta ahead 34-23 with 3:49 remaining.
11:11 p.m.: The Falcons force a three-and-out as Doug Baldwin drops a pass on third down. Seattle challenges the call but the ruling on the field is upheld and the Seahawks punt for the first time with 8:57 to play.
11:01 p.m. : Atlanta picks up three first downs but is stopped at the Seattle 46 when Taylor Gabriel is brought down well short of the marker on a screen pass. Atlanta punts and Seattle will start its drive on its 10.
End of third quarter: Falcons 31, Seahawks 23
10:49 p.m.: Field goal, Seattle. Wilson runs for 13 yards on third down to move the chains and Seattle advances all the way to the Atlanta 16 two plays later. The Seahawks are then called for a holding penalty and their drive stalls. Blair Walsh kicks another field goal to cut Seattle’s deficit to 31-23.
10:44 p.m.: Seahawks running back Mike Davis has been ruled out with a groin injury.

10:36 p.m.: Touchdown, Falcons. Ryan fakes a handoff, rolls to his right and throws across his body to a wide-open Levine Toilolo for a 25-yard touchdown. The Falcons now lead 31-20 with 7:24 to play in the third quarter.

10:34 p.m.: Ryan can’t find anyone open, avoids the rush and scrambles for 14 yards on third down near midfield to keep Atlanta’s drive alive.
10:27 p.m.: Seattle advances inside the Atlanta 25 but its drive stalls on a third-down pass that comes up well short of the marker. Blair Walsh enters and kicks a 37-yard field goal to make the score 24-20.
10:20 p.m.: We’re back for the second half in Seattle. The Seahawks will start the period’s opening drive at their 28.

10:03 p.m.: The Seahawks come away with no points despite being in the red zone just before halftime. Tyler Lockett returns the kickoff 39 yards, Wilson tallies two runs of more than 12 yards and completes two short passes to move the Seahawks into field goal range. Instead of kicking, however, Seattle runs a trick play. Seahawks punter Jon Ryan receives the snap and flips the ball to Luke Willson, who is brought down behind the line of scrimmage. Seattle continues to trail by a touchdown.
9:56 p.m.: Field goal, Falcons. Tevin Coleman drops a screen pass on third down and Atlanta settles for a 44-yard field goal from Matt Bryant that extends its lead to 24-17 with 1:06 remaining before halftime.
9:51 p.m.: Facing a third-and-14, Tevin Coleman catches a pass, bounces off a defender and gains 15 yards to keep Atlanta’s drive alive.
9:40 p.m.: Touchdown, Seahawks. Seattle comes up short of the goal line on a third-down run play. The Seahawks, however, go for it on fourth. On the play, Russell Wilson rolls out of the pocket, keeps it himself and runs in for the touchdown. Seattle trails 21-17 with 5:21 to play in the half.

9:29 p.m.: Field goal, Seahawks. Seattle drives down the field but it’s kept out of the end zone when Tyler Lockett is called for offensive pass interference on third down. Wilson throws an incomplete pass on the following play and the Seahawks are forced to settle for a field goal that cuts their deficit to 21-10.
9:17 p.m.: Touchdown, Falcons. Russell Wilson drops back to pass and escapes the collapsing pocket but fumbles the football after being hit. Takkarist McKinley recovers and runs it in for a 10-yard touchdown return as Atlanta’s lead grows to 21-7. Wilson already has two turnovers.
