A Browns linebacker and a former teammate have been indicted on charges stemming from a Christmas morning traffic stop.
Armonty Bryant is facing two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance and De'Ante Saunders has been charged with transporting a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle, according to Cuyahoga County court records.

Saunders, a defensive back who was on the Browns' practice squad at the time, was pulled over for speeding on Interstate 71 near Cleveland at 2:16 a.m. on Dec. 25.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Saunders had a handgun in his possession but did not have a permit for the weapon. Bryant was booked for possession of Adderall. Officers also found oxycodone pills in the car.
The Browns did not permit Bryant to travel to Kansas City for the Week 16 game against the Chiefs two days after the arrests, and released Saunders from their practice squad the day after that.

Bryant, a seventh-round draft pick by the Browns in 2013, was second on the team with 5.5 sacks last season. The 25-year-old had a breakout season for the Browns after missing part of 2014 with a torn ACL, but he has run into legal trouble before. He was arrested for selling marijuana to an undercover officer during his final year in college at Division II East Central University, and was charged with driving under the influence a week after being drafted by Cleveland.
The arraignment for Bryant and Saunders has been set for Feb. 24.
