Arizona lost a significant piece of its offense Sunday when running back Andre Ellington was listed as inactive with a knee injury.
Ellington injured his left knee in practice Thursday and sat out Friday’s workout. He will not play Sunday against the Eagles.
Ellington had been sharing carries with Rashard Mendenhall but provided the Cardinals with a speedier option in the backfield. With Ellington out, Mendenhall will get the bulk of the carries, with Stepfan Taylor backing him up.

Although he didn't carry the ball in the season opener, Ellington leads the Cardinals in rushing with 441 yards on only 73 carries, a 6-yard average. He also has 28 receptions for 247 yards.
Other inactives include quarterback Ryan Lindley, running back Ryan Williams, linebacker Dontay Moch, guard Earl Watford, tight end Kory Sperry and defensive end Ronald Talley.
Inactive for the Eagles: quarterback Matt Barkley, safety Earl Wolff, cornerback Curtis Marsh, running back Matthew Tucker, linebacker Emmanuel Acho and tackles Matt Tobin and Dennis Kelly.
