Colts quarterback Andrew Luck is dealing with a shoulder injury, and was not a major participant in Wednesday's practice.

During the early part of practice that was open to the media, Luck was described as "doing very little" by reporters. While it's not a major call for alarm, it was something people noticed, and it's caused a bit of speculation. Speculation that coach Chuck Pagano shot down.

Adding to the buzz was the Colts signing quarterback Alex Tanney to the practice squad Tuesday. Tanney also took some reps on Wednesday when Luck usually does.

There's been speculation regarding Luck's health since Sunday's win against the Titans. He answered questions about it on Monday.

“Football is a physical game, right? We all know that. You wake up Monday morning or Sunday night after the game, on the plane ride home, you feel bumps and bruises," he said, via ESPN. "Some games (are) less physical than others and that’s sort of the nature of it. But this past one certainly was physical. There’s a bunch of guys I’m sure in both training rooms, recovering from stuff. For me, it’s sort of business as usual — get over those bumps and bruises, those sort of nicks and get out there and play.”

It's understandable if Luck is dealing with some sort of injury. According to NFL.com stats, the Colts have allowed the second-most hits on quarterbacks so far this season (59). While Luck is able to avoid sacks by getting rid of the ball, he'll often take shots to his body from defenders.
