The Detroit Lions finally got done what many expected them to this offseason after reportedly agreeing to a massive contract extension with star wide receiver, Amon-Ra St. Brown.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, St. Brown is signing a four-year deal worth over $120 million with the Lions, which includes a whopping $77 million guaranteed.
Assuming the total value of the contract exceeds $120 million as is reported, St. Brown's deal lands at No. 2 in the NFL among wide receivers, falling only behind Las Vegas Raiders star, Davante Adams, according to Over The Cap. When it comes to the guaranteed money and annual average, St. Brown's contract is tops at his position.
The deal is well-deserved for St. Brown, who cemented himself as one of the best receivers in the NFL last season after tallying career-bests in receptions (119), yards (1,515) and touchdowns (10). Those totals ranked tied for second, third, and tied for fourth among all pass-catchers.
As you would imagine, Lions fans and media were happy to see St. Brown get the bag. Here's how they reacted to the news.

Three years later, with the draft in Detroit, they're paying him like the star he is.
