Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was not a happy camper after the Vikings' five-game winning streak was snapped in a 30-13 loss to the Packers at home Sunday.

After the game that saw the Packers regain first place in the NFC North, Peterson said the team needs to look at everything and try to figure out how to be better next week against the Falcons.

“I think it’s from the top to the bottom,” Peterson said, via ESPN.com. “It’s from the coaches on both sides and the players, as well. No matter what position we were in, we had calls, and we didn’t execute on a lot of plays.

"It came back to hurt us. But it’s the coaches’ job to put us in the best position, as well.”

A frustrated Peterson pointed out the Vikings mistakes Sunday, such as their eight penalties for 110 yards. Peterson himself had one of his worst performances of the season with 45 yards rushing and a fumble lost — though he did score a touchdown.

"Just me doing what I do — trying to make a play," said Peterson who had just seven carries after the first quarter. "I remember spinning out, and my legs got wrapped up, and the ball got away from me. The defensive lineman did what those guys do: They caught me slipping on that one, and it really hurt us."

Currently the No. 5 and No. 6 seeds in the NFC playoff picture, the Vikings (7-3) and Falcons (6-4) will face off in a pivotal game Sunday in Atlanta, where Peterson and the Vikings will look to get back on track.
