Will this be the last time we see Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady play against each other? 

The Green Bay Packers (1-1) meet the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-0) on Sunday at Raymond James Stadium (4:25 p.m., FOX). It's the first time the teams since the 2020 NFC championship game on Jan. 24, 2021. The Buccaneers won that game 31-26. 

It's No. 12 vs. No. 12 in what could be the final chapter.

Aaron Rodgers vs. Tom Brady  

Brady is the all-time NFL leader with 626 TD passes and 84,922 passing yards. He also has a 97.5 career passer rating, which ranks eighth all time.  

Rodgers ranks third in the NFL in career passer rating (104.4). He ranks fifth in passing TDs (451) and 10th in passing yards (55,789).   

Brady and Rodgers have combined to win seven Associated Press NFL MVP awards. Rodgers has won the award the last two seasons. He also won the award in 2011 and 2014. Brady won the award in 2007, 2010 and 2017.  

How many seasons has Tom Brady played in the NFL?  

Tom Brady is in his 23rd season in the NFL. He made his NFL debut on Nov. 23, 2000, taking over for starting quarterback Drew Bledsoe in a blowout Thanksgiving loss by the Patriots to the Lions. 

How many seasons has Aaron Rodgers played in the NFL?   

Aaron Rodgers in his 18th season in the NFL. He made his debut Oct. 9, 2005, with the Packers seeing mop-up duty in place of Brett Favre in a Green Bay blowout victory over New Orleans.  

Aaron Rodgers vs. Tampa Bay  

— Rodgers has five career starts against the Buccaneers in the regular season and is 2-3 in them. Rodgers is 101 of 171 (59.1 percent) for 1,208 yards, with eight TDs and nine interceptions in those games.  

— Rodgers made his first appearance against Brady in a 35-0 loss on Nov. 19, 2006, in New England. Rodgers completed 4 of 12 passes for 32 yards. 

Tom Brady vs. Green Bay   

— Brady has made six career starts against the Packers in the regular season — two against Favre, one against Matt Flynn and three against Rodgers. Brady is 4-2 in those games. 

— Brady is 120 of 196 (61.2 percent) with 12 TDs and three interceptions against the Packers in those six starts.  

Rodgers vs. Brady head-to-head matchups   

Rodgers and Brady have met head-to-head just four times in their careers. Brady is 3-1 in those games.   

Brady is 81 of 133 for 1,085 yards, with eight TDs and three interceptions in head-to-head starts against Rodgers, who is 97 of 164 for 1,133 yards, with seven TDs and three interceptions in those games. 

A look at their meetings: 

Green Bay 26, New England 21 (Nov. 30, 2014)   

The Patriots (9-2) and Packers (8-3) entered the game with winning records at Lambeau Field, and Rodgers finished with 368 passing yards and two TDs. Brady had 245 yards and a pair of TDs. The Packers sealed the victory on a late connection from Rodgers to Randall Cobb. 

New England 31, Green Bay 17 (Nov. 4 ,2018)  

The second matchup fell on Sunday Night Football, and it came complete with a promo from Michael Jordan.  

Brady, who finished with 294 yards and a TD, led two TD drives in the fourth quarter to break open a tie game. Rodgers finished with 259 passing yards and two TDs in the loss.  

Tampa Bay 38, Green Bay 10 (Oct. 18, 2020) 

The Buccaneers dominated a regular-season matchup with the Packers this season. Green Bay jumped out to a 10-0 lead, but Rodgers threw two second-quarter interceptions which ignited a 28-point second quarter for Tampa Bay in a route. Brady finished 17 of 27 for 166 yards and two TDs. Rodgers finished 16 of 35 for 160 yards. 

Tampa Bay 31, Green Bay 26 (Jan. 24, 2021) 

Brady (20 of 36, 280 yards, 3 TDs, 3 INTs) leads the Buccaneers to a NFC championship victory at Lambeau Field. A 39-yard TD pass to Scotty Miller before halftime opens up a 21-10 lead, and despite three second-half interceptions the Packers cannot cash in. Rodgers (33 of 48, 346 yards, 3 TDs, INT) leads a late drive, but the Packers settle for a field goal on fourth-and-goal with 2:15 remaining and do not get the ball back. The Buccaneers win the Super Bowl LV. 

Rodgers vs. Brady playoff history   

Brady is a seven-time Super Bowl winner with a 35-12 record in the postseason, and he has 245 career victories as a starter in the regular season. Brady won six Super Bowls with Bill Belichick in New England and one with Bruce Arians in Tampa Bay. He has played in 14 conference championship games.  

Rodgers won a Super Bowl with Green Bay in the 2010 season, but he has yet to get back to the big game. Rodgers also took the Packers to the NFC championship game in 2014, 2016, 2019 and 2020. He is 12-10 in the postseason and 143-71-1 in the regular season.

Rodgers vs. Brady in 2022 

Brady retired after the 2021 season, but he returned in the same offseason and has Tampa Bay off to a 2-0 start with new coach Todd Bowles. Brady has modest totals through two games with 402 yards, two TDs and one interception. He will not have Mike Evans, who is serving a one-game suspension, for Sunday’s game against the Packers. 

The Packers are 1-1 with Rodgers, who is adjusting to life without Davante Adams. Rodgers has 429 yards, two TDs and one interception through two games, and this is the second road game of the season. The first one – a 23-7 loss to Minnesota in Week 1 – was a disaster. Will this be better?
