Aaron Rodgers says lowered beer prices will get Packers fans loud and proud image

Aaron Rodgers is a man of the people.

The Packers quarterback proposed dropping the price of beer as a way to get fans at Lambeau Field loud while the defense is on the field.

“I’m up for anything that’s gonna get the fans as loud as possible,” Rodgers said, via ProFootballTalk. “Maybe slash some beer prices or something, would be a good idea.”

The topic of getting fans loud while the defense is on the field came up after the Packers announced they will sound a foghorn when the team is attempting to hold the opposition on third down.

For a 16-ounce can of domestic beer, the price was $8.25 at Lambeau last season. That's a heftier price tag than a beer at a local bar and eight cents above the average cost of beer between the 32 NFL stadiums.

The Bengals, Falcons, Texans, Lions, Ravens and Cardinals have the cheapest beer options in the league at $5 per draft beer. The Raiders hold the title for the most expensive cost of draft beer, at $10.75 a pop.

Rodgers probably wouldn't mind seeing his fanbase get louder with an extra brew in their hands.
