Contrary to popular belief, it's not all about the money.
Aaron Rodgers and the Packers are still at odds, and no amount of cash, green, shekels or otherwise will seemingly change the quarterback's mind.
According to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter, Rodgers rejected a contract extension that would have made him the highest paid player in the NFL and kept him in Green Bay for the next five years.
This off-season, the Packers offered Aaron Rodgers a two-year contract extension that would have tied him to Green Bay for five more seasons and made him the highest-paid QB and player in football.

"This off-season, the Packers offered Aaron Rodgers a two-year contract extension that would have tied him to Green Bay for five more seasons and made him the highest-paid QB and player in football. Rodgers declined the offer, proof it's not about the money," Schefter tweeted Tuesday.
Rodgers has three years left on his current deal, but he has no guaranteed money left on his contract after the 2021 season, leading to speculation that this upcoming season will be his last in a Packers uniform. As it looks, that fate might come a year early if Rodgers decides he's done with Green Bay.
Rodgers skipped all voluntary team activities this offseason amid a feud with the team. Reports suggest that Rodgers is unhappy with general manager Brian Gutekunst, but Packers brass won't part with the GM, and has offered several votes of confidence throughout the offseason.
So, as it turns out, money truly can't solve everything.
