As we continue to wait for something to happen with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the San Francisco 49ers as it pertains to a Brandon Aiyuk trade, we're looking for any little clue that might give us even a shred of new information.
Take this for what it's worth, but according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team, the 49ers are working out veteran wide receiver Robbie Chosen (previously known as Robbie Anderson) at practice on Wednesday.
Of course, the hope for fans who want their team to acquire Aiyuk is that this is a sign a trade is imminent, as the Niners might be planning ahead for when they would be down a receiver in the wake of an Aiyuk trade.
The latest on the situation is that talks between the Niners, Steelers and other teams that are interested are ongoing and there is no deal in place. We also know, per reports, that the Steelers are Aiyuk's preferred destination.
Chosen is not even close to a worthy replacement for the stud receiver considering his career has gone off a cliff in recent years, but he would give the Niners another body in the short term.

On the flip side, this more than likely has absolutely nothing to do with the Aiyuk situation, as the Niners are multiple dealing with injuries at the position.
The Niners recently lost wide receiver Malik Turner after he was placed on injured reserve, and 2024 first-round pick and receiver Ricky Pearsall left practice early on Tuesday after aggravating a shoulder injury.
At this point in the game, and with everything that has transpired in this roller coaster of a situation, nothing can be ruled out. Make sure to keep up to date with all of the latest Aiyuk rumors with our tracker right here.
