The 49ers plan to remove Paraag Marathe as team president following Super Bowl 50, CSN Bay Area reported.

Marathe, 38, will stay with the organization in an unspecified role, the report said. He’s expected to oversee the 49ers’ salary cap management and also take a larger role in the “organization’s outside business ventures."

Al Guido, the team’s COO, will take over as 49ers president in 2016.

According to a San Jose Mercury News report, Marathe is believed to be the source of leaks about the franchise’s internal workings, including some unflattering portrayals of 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
