Bud Grant was the head coach of the Vikings for 16 seasons. He's a legend in Minnesota, having taken the Vikings to four Super Bowls between 1967 and 1985.

On Sunday afternoon, the 88-year-old showed to not just the thousands in attendance but the millions watching at home exactly why he's such a legend.

Prior to the kickoff of the Vikings' NFC Wild Card game against the Seahawks, the longtime coach took the field, which reached a temperature of minus-6 degrees, in a short-sleeved shirt.

With the arctic-like temperatures, the playoff game is officially the third-coldest game in NFL history.
