All starters are good to go, but the New York Jets ruled out two backups on the final injury report prior to the Monday Night Football season opener against the San Francisco 49ers.

Versatile offensive lineman Wes Schweitzer and reserve linebacker Zaire Barnes both suffered injuries while practicing earlier this week and will not be available in Week 1. Schweitzer was subsequently added to Injured Reserve, meaning he's out for no fewer than four weeks.

"Schweitzer, he'll be out. Zaire is out. Everyone else is full," said fourth-year head coach Robert Saleh on Saturday.

Schweitzer, who turns 31 years old on September 11, has a hand injury while Barnes, a 2023 sixth-round draft pick, is dealing with an ankle issue. The former was a non-participant the past three days while the latter popped up on the injury report Friday.

"Earlier this week, both of them unfortunately, just unfortunate injuries," said Saleh.

It wouldn't be surprising if the Jets elevated interior lineman Jake Hanson and/or linebacker Sam Eguavoen from the Practice Squad for Monday's game.

The good news for New York is that wide receiver Mike Williams, a key free-agent offseason addition, does not carry an injury designation heading into the opener. Williams began training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list, but is ready to go less than 12 months removed from an ACL tear.

San Francisco bell-cow back Christian McCaffrey is officially listed as questionable for Monday night. He was nursing a calf strain throughout the latter half of training camp, but told reporters on Friday that he expects to play. McCaffrey, the 2023 NFL scrimmage yards leader, was a limited participant in practice all week.
