Cue the NFL talking heads. The "Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams" reunion rumors have new life.

During Thursday's practice round for the American Century Championship, a Vegas Sports Today reporter approached Rodgers and started pelting the New York Jets' starting quarterback with questions about Adams, who is also competing at the annual celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe.

"I love [Las Vegas Raiders' offensive coordinator] Luke Getsy. He's a fantastic coach. But I love Davante. I can't wait to play with him, again," said Rodgers in the filmed exchange.

Rodgers and Adams spent eight seasons together as teammates with the Green Bay Packers, forming what was arguably the league's most-potent QB-WR duo. The receiver left Green Bay for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022 and the Packers traded Rodgers to the Jets one year later.

There have been consistent rumors and speculation of a potential trade that sends Adams to the Jets, but none of it seems feasible. In addition to the fact that Adams has a mega contract that would complicate the trade process, the Raiders view the three-time All-Pro First Team receiver as a franchise player.

During an interview earlier this week, Adams reaffirmed his commitment to Las Vegas.

"Obviously, we can get together and talk about the old times and the potential of doing this and that, but, like I said, I'm a Raider. He knows that," said Adams when asked about reuniting with Rodgers on the Up & Adams show.

Meanwhile, Rodgers's comment on Thursday may just be an elite act of trolling as a trade remains highly unlikely. He may have even been referring to playing with Adams on the golf course at some point this weekend.
