The New York Giants signed veteran guard Greg Van Roten following his free-agent visit last week.

In a corresponding move, the Giants released cornerback Aaron Robinson.

Van Roten, 34, most recently spent time with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2023 working under new offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo.

Van Roten entered the NFL as an undrafted free-agent rookie out of Penn in 2012. He signed with the Green Bay Packers, spending two seasons there.

He then spent some time on the offseason roster with the Seattle Seahawks in 2014 before his release ahead of the season. Switching to the CFL, Van Roten spent two seasons with the Toronto Argonauts in 2015-2016.

After a few months on the offseason roster for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2017, Van Roten spent three seasons with the Carolina Panthers and became a full-time starter in 2018.

Van Roten also spent time with the New York Jets (2020-2021) and Buffalo Bills (2022).
