The New York Giants signed veteran cornerback Breon Borders in free agency, the team announced Sunday.

Borders, 29, will be taking the place of quarterback Nathan Rourke, who was released from the roster Sunday morning.

Borders entered the NFL in 2017 as an undrafted free agent and has spent time with 12 teams across the league throughout his career.

The Duke product has appeared in 32 games (six starts) in his career. He has one career interception and seven passes defensed to go along with 42 tackles (35 solo).

Borders spent the 2020-2021 seasons with the Tennessee Titans. Defensive coordinator Shane Bowen was a outside linebackers coach and defensive coordinato during those seasons in Tennessee.
