New York Giants invite free-agent tight end as minicamp tryout image

The New York Giants invited former Mississippi State tight end Geor'quarius Spivey to participate in mandatory minicamp on a tryout basis.

Following the retirement of Darren Waller, the Giants may be looking to add some back-end depth to the tight end room.

At 6-foot-5 and 240 pounds, Spivey caught 28 passes for 298 yards and one touchdown during his collegiate career between TCU and Mississippi State.

The Giants currently have a tight end room that consists of Daniel Bellinger, Theo Johnson, Jack Stoll, Chris Manhertz and Lawrence Cager.

Johnson and Bellinger are expected to battle for the TE1 spot on the depth chart while Stoll, Manhertz and Cager compete for the depth roles.
