The New York Giants hosted free-agent defensive back Joshua Kalu for a workout and visit Tuesday.

A 28-year-old free agent, Kahu signed with the Tennessee Titans following the 2018 NFL Draft. He spent three seasons working under current Giants defensive coordinator Shane Bowen, who was the outside linebackers coach for those three seasons.

Kalu also spent time with the Giants during the 2021 preseason but suffered a torn pectoral muscle and missed the season.

The Giants need depth in the defensive back room. Kalu mostly spends his time between nickel corner and free safety.

In 44 career games (five starts), Kalu has 68 tackles (46 solo), one tackle for loss, six passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one interception.
