Giants' 'Hard Knocks' confirms team's interest in major NFL draft trade image

Ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft, it was reported that the New York Giants had a strong interest in moving up the board in the first round.

During the second episode of "Hard Knocks: Offseason with the New York Giants", those reports were confirmed.

While later episodes may reveal how much interest the Giants had in moving up to No. 3 in a potential trade with the New England Patriots, the second episode confirmed that the seeds were planted.

The series gave some impressive insight into the process general manager Joe Schoen had when getting in the ear of Patriots executive Eliot Wolf.

It was simply a matter of walking over to the Patriots' suite at the NFL combine just to let Wolf know there was potential interest in trading up for the pick.

Of course, the Patriots wound up taking quarterback Drake Maye with the pick, and the Giants sat at No. 6 to take Malik Nabers.

But it was still some impressive insight into how some of the offseason reports worked out.
