After losing starting quarterback Jacoby Brissett to an injury in the first quarter of their preseason finale against the Washington Commanders at FedEx Field, the New England Patriots lost another starter in the second quarter.

On a first-down incompletion to Javon Baker, second-year offensive lineman Sidy Sow, who started the game at left guard, suffered a lower-body injury that knocked him out of the game. He was replaced by Michael Jordan.

New England's offensive line had already been struggling prior to this loss, as they started this preseason contest without David Andrews (veteran rest) or Vederian Lowe (oblique).

The unit, as a whole, had eight penalties called on them during the first half. That can't happen when these games count.
