Last season, the New England Patriots had arguably the worst offense in the league, scoring the fewest points per game (13.9) and gaining the third-fewest yards per game (276.2).

While there were a number of factors that led to those results, the performance of quarterback Mac Jones, who the team traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars earlier this offseason, left a lot to be desired.

And, during the most important moments of games that New England's defense kept them in, Jones let them down.

According to Carter Donnick, Jones was the 33rd-best quarterback in the NFL when it came to clutch plays.

Using Sports Info Solutions charts, Donnick gathered different z-scores for stats and weighted some of them including EPA, WAR, TD%, INT%, Sack%, Individual QBR and more.

While last season was difficult to watch each and every week, with Jones and head coach Bill Belichick both leaving to create some separation, it's almost funny how bad it was.

Despite being a Pro Bowler as a rookie, Jones wasn't one of the best 32 starting quarterbacks in the clutch last year. It's just crazy to think how drastic the fall was.
