The New England Patriots welcomed their veterans back into the building on Tuesday with training camp set to start on Wednesday on the practice fields outside of Gillette Stadium.

However, there will be five players who are currently unable to practice, as the Patriots have placed wide receiver Kendrick Bourne, linebacker Sione Takitaki and offensive linemen Cole Strange and Jake Andrews on active/PUP, and they've put running back Antonio Gibson on the non-football injury list.

Bourne and Strange are both recovering from season-ending injuries in 2023, and they could both end up remaining on PUP throughout training camp and the preseason if they take their time rehabbing. Takitaki and Andrews were both absent during minicamp, meaning they're presumably recovering from injuries themselves.

Gibson's addition to the non-football injury list is notable, as he had been present previously. He may be dealing with an illness, or he may have suffered an injury away from the facility.

All of these players can come off of their respective lists at any time.
