10 days till Patriots season opener: Every player to wear No. 10 for New England image

The New England Patriots will open their 2024 campaign against the Cincinnati Bengals at Paycor Stadium on Sunday, September 8 at 1:00 p.m. ET, which is now 10 days away.

Until the opening kickoff of the season for the Patriots, we'll be counting down each day by looking back at those who have worn each specific jersey number.

Since 1960, eight players have worn No. 10 in New England, and with 10 days until their first game of the year, here's a look at everyone who's worn the number for the team:

QB Drake Maye: Present

  • Drafted in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft
  • Competed for the starting job throughout training camp and the preseason

QB Mac Jones: 2021-23

  • Appeared in 42 games for New England over three seasons, completing 66.1% of his passes for 8,918 yards, 46 touchdowns and 36 interception
  • Made a Pro Bowl with the Patriots
  • Was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars this offseason

WR Damiere Byrd: 2020

  • Appeared in 16 games for New England in one season, catching 47 passes for 604 yards and a touchdown
  • Also played for the Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Falcons, Arizona Cardinals and Chicago Bears

WR Josh Gordon: 2018-19

  • Appeared in 17 games for New England over two seasons, catching 60 passes for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns
  • Won a Super Bowl for the Patriots
  • Also played for the Cleveland Browns (made a Pro Bowl and an All-Pro), Kansas City Chiefs, Seattle Seahawks and Tennessee Titans

QB Jimmy Garoppolo: 2014-16

  • Appeared in 17 games for New England over three seasons, completing 67% of his passes for 690 yards and five touchdowns
  • Won two Super Bowls with the Patriots
  • Also played for the San Francisco 49ers and Las Vegas Raiders

WR Austin Collie: 2013

  • Appeared in seven games for New England in one season, catching six passes for 63 yards
  • Also played for the Indianapolis Colts

WR Tiquan Underwood: 2011

  • Appeared in six games for New England in one season, catching three passes for 30 yards
  • Also played for the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tampa Bay Buccaneers

WR Jabar Gaffney: 2006-08

  • Appeared in 43 games for New England over three seasons, catching 85 passes for 1,059 yards and eight touchdowns
  • Also played for the Houston Texans, Denver Broncos, Miami Dolphins and Washington

WR Kevin Kasper: 2004

  • Appeared in eight games for New England in one season, returning three kicks for 61 yards
  • Won a Super Bowl with the Patriots
  • Also played for the Arizona Cardinals, Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions and Seattle Seahawks

P Lee Johnson: 1999-2001

  • Appeared in 37 games for New England over three seasons, averaging 42.3 yards per punt
  • Won a Super Bowl with the Patriots
  • Also played for the Cincinnati Bengals, Houston Oilers, Cleveland Browns, Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles

QB Scott Secules: 1993

  • Appeared in 12 games for New England in a season, catching 56% of his passes for 918 yards, two touchdowns and nine interceptions
  • Also played for the Miami Dolphins

P Brian Hansen: 1990

  • Appeared in 16 games for New England in one season, averaging 41.7 yards per punt
  • Also played for the New Orleans Saints (made a Pro Bowl), New York Jets, Cleveland Browns and Washington

WR Glenn Antrum: 1989

  • Appeared in one game for New England in one season

QB Bob Bleier: 1987

  • Appeared in three games for New England during the player strike, completing 35.9% of his passes for 181 yards, one touchdown and an interception

QB Tom Flick: 1982

  • Appeared in three games for New England in one season
  • Also played for the Cleveland Browns, San Diego Chargers and Washington

P Dave Chapple: 1974

  • Appeared in five games for New England in one season, averaging 37.2 yards per punt
  • Also played for the Los Angeles Rams (made a Pro Bowl) and Buffalo Bills

WR Eric Crabtree: 1971

  • Appeared in six games for New England in one season, catching nine passes for 120 yards and a touchdown
  • Also played for the Cincinnati Bengals and Denver Broncos

QB Don Trull: 1967

  • Appeared in seven games for Boston in one season, completing 33.3% of his passes for 442 yards, one touchdown and seven interceptions
  • Also played for the Houston Texans

QB Harvey White: 1960

  • Appeared in nine games for Boston in one season, completing three of his seven passes for 44 yards
