During the New England Patriots first two organized team activity sessions open to the media, rookie quarterback Drake Maye was getting the third reps behind Jacoby Brissett and Bailey Zappe.

While head coach Jerod Mayo says that his team doesn't have a depth chart at this point of the year, it does appear that there has been some shuffling, as Maye got the second quarterback reps behind Brissett on Tuesday.

Now, the Patriots may say that different quarterbacks have gotten different reps at their other sessions that are closed, but this is a difference from the only other two that the media has seen.

It never made sense to have Zappe getting more or better opportunities than Maye. If Zappe is the starting quarterback in New England come the start of the year, some things went terribly wrong.

Hopefully, Maye will continue to grow and learn each day until he pushes Brissett for the starting role.
