The New England Patriots defense has been looking for someone to make a play in recent weeks, and second-year cornerback Christian Gonzalez stepped up.

On a second-and-10 play from their 36-yard line, Miami Dolphins quarterback Tyler Huntley attempted to hit wide receiver Odell Beckahm Jr., but Gonzalez jumped the route and made a diving interception.

Gonzalez's takeaway set the Patriots up with great field position, and just a few plays later, running back Rhamondre Stevenson, who was benched due to fumbling issues, scored on a 33-yard rushing touchdown.

New England's defense needs to do a lot more of that if they want to be considered on of the best units in the league.
