The New England Patriots had a day off on Sunday, but they were back out there on Monday morning through the early afternoon for their 10th training camp session at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts.
Head coach Jerod Mayo's team took part in the session while wearing full pads, as they prepare for their first preseason battle under his leadership later this week.
Here's what was seen on the practice fields in Foxboro:
Participation/Attendance
- Offensive tackle Calvin Anderson, tight end Jaheim Bell and wide receiver Tyquan Thornton returned to practice and participated.
- Cornerback Shaun Wade is out of his non-contact jersey while wide receiver DeMario Douglas remains in his.
- Linebacker Sione Takitaki (PUP), center Jake Andrews (PUP), guard Cole Strange (PUP), wide receiver Kendrick Bourne (PUP), safety Marte Mapu, cornerback Marcus Jones, safety Joshuah Bledsoe, defensive lineman Christian Barmore and offensive tackle Chukwuma Okorafor didn't participate.
- Linebacker Joshua Uche went back to work on the lower field.

- Anderson and offensive tackle Vederian Lowe got first-team reps at right and left tackle respectively.
- Quarterback Bailey Zappe had impressive back-to-back completions in 1-on-1s to wide receivers Javon Baker and Kayshon Boutte.
- Wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster had a drop in 1-on-1 coverage against cornerback Christian Gonzalez but then had a nice release against defensive back Marcellas Dial.
- Quarterback Jacoby Brissett had great placement on balls to wide receiver K.J. Osborn and Baker in 1-on-1s.
- The defense did pushups after quarterback Drake Maye completed a pass to Jalen Reagor against cornerback Alex Austin in 1-on-1s.
- Offensive lineman Michael Onwenu won all three of his 1-on-1 reps and even dropped defensive end Keion White.
- Quarterback Joe Milton III was third in 11-on-11 reps.
- Offensive linemen Caedan Wallace and Zuri Henry got the backup reps at left and right tackle respectively. Kellen Diesch got third-team reps at left.
- Brissett hit Thornton for a slant touchdown against Gonzalez.
- Wallace flipped to right tackle with Diesch flipping to left. Guard Layden Robinson got backup left guard reps.
- Maye scrambled for a touchdown run after going through two reads.
- Defensive back Mikey Victor broke up a Zappe pass to Baker.
- Defensive back AJ Thomas picked off Maye after a pass to tight end Jacob Warren went off his hands. Maye may have been sacked.
- Boutte snagged a strong pass from Milton on an out route.
- Smith-Schuster made a contested catch on a pass from Zappe.
- Defensive linemen Keion White and Jeremiah Pharms Jr. and Jahlani Tavai got work at fullback.
- Linebacker Ja'Whaun Bentley intercepted Brissett.
- Gonzalez smothered Baker on a go route, and the pass was overthrown.
- Wade made a diving pass breakup against a Brissett pass to Smith-Schuster.
- Milton completed a shot to Baker on a broken play.
- New England's defense was stout against the run for the majority of the practice.
- This session was called "the most physical practice yet" with live tackling and a lot of emphasis on the run.
