The Minnesota Vikings have done a great job maneuvering the draft board on Thursday night in the first round. They selected J.J. McCarthy at 10th overall and got their quarterback of the future. He was the first quarterback to ever be taken in the 10th overall by the Minnesota Vikings.
Now, the Vikings had to sweat it out to get McCarthy with four quarterback going ahead of him, including Michael Penix Jr. to the Atlanta Falcons at eighth overall. They did make a small trade up to 10th overall from 11 to get McCarthy but they made it happen.
The Vikings made the call to McCarthy and cameras caught his excitement to come to Minnesota.
