The Minnesota Vikings have made two picks in the 2024 NFL Draft in Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy and Alabama edge rusher Dallas Turner. The Vikings weren't afraid to be aggressive to get their guys, especially in a draft class that isn't very strong on day three.
This is a very weird class with only 53 players having declared as underclassmen. That number is usually up toward 110 but was significantly lower due to two things: NIL and COVID granting everyone an extra year. That will eventually get leveled out, but this isn't the draft to bulk up on day three picks.
Minnesota Vikings have 5 picks left in 2024 NFL Draft
Those trades have left the Vikings without a lot of draft capital in the next two drafts. In 2024, the Vikings have just five picks left.

In turn, the Vikings only have three guaranteed picks in the 2025 NFL Draft.

- Round 5
- Round 5
They will be expecting a pick in round three due to compensatory selections but it's not great to have that few picks in the NFL Draft. Do we need to be worried about Kwesi Adofo-Mensah's ability to value draft picks? Perhaps, but two first-round picks is still great.
