The Minnesota Vikings are on to the next portion of the offseason after selecting seven players in the 2024 NFL Draft and signing 17 undrafted free agents afterward. There are a lot of questions about how the Vikings will approach the rest of the offseason, especially with the potential of signing players after the end of the compensatory formula.

When taking a look at the Vikings offense, there are some really interesting pieces the Vikings have for incoming 10th overall pick Michigan QB J.J. McCarthy. That allows the Vikings to be patient in his development with the presence of Sam Darnold. There are still some positions that need to be addressed over the course of the next few weeks and they can still add talent.

As things sit right now, the Vikings offense is set to look similar to what it did in 2023.

Vikings projected 2024 offensive starters

Quarterback

  • Sam Darnold

This could end up being McCarthy quickly depending on how quickly he develops.

Running back

  • Aaron Jones
  • C.J. Ham (fullback)

Ty Chandler will likely start a few games with the injury history that Jones has, but it's a good room so far.

Wide receiver

  • Justin Jefferson
  • Jordan Addison
  • Brandon Powell (11 personnel)

With the Vikings personnel, look for two wide receivers to start, but if they do end up using 11 personnel as base, Powell has the inside track to be the slot receiver.

Tight end

  • Josh Oliver
  • Johnny Mundt (12 personnel)

T.J. Hockenson is going to start the season on the PUP list and Oliver is going to get a chance to be the guy for 4-8 weeks.

Offensive tackle

  • Christian Darrisaw
  • Brian O'Neill

This is arguably the best tackle duo in the NFL. No explanation needed.

Interior offensive line

  • Ed Ingram
  • Blake Brandel
  • Garrett Bradbury

Look for the Vikings to sign another guard to compete for the left guard spot. Brandel is capable but he doesn't excite you as a starter.
