You don't get to play with many of your college teammates when you get to the National Football League. It isn't easy to make happen for many reasons but mostly because there are 31 other teams in the NFL that could want your services.
Over the last few years, there have been more and more college teammates being paired together. Jalen Hurts and DeVonta Smith, Tua Tagovailoa and Jaylen Waddle and most notably Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson played on that infamous 2019 LSU Tigers team with Burrow and Chase that set records and won a national championship. Jefferson told Kevin Hart on his YouTube show that he has some envy that Chase and Burrow still get to play together.
“I love them together, I love the chemistry that they have with each other, but it’s definitely some jealousy on that side,” Jefferson said.
Earlier this offseason, there were some rumors floating around that Jefferson could be dealt to the Bengals to give them the same triple threat that set records at LSU. Those didn't end up coming to fruition, but it was fun (for everyone but Vikings fans) to think about.
One thing to remember here: jealousy doesn't necessarily mean unhappiness.
