The Minnesota Vikings will once again be without wide receiver Justin Jefferson for OTAs as he was not at the first day of phase three.
This was to be expected for the Vikings as Jefferson didn't appear during the first two phases of OTAs as the team continues to discuss a contract extension with the superstar wide receiver. It's relatively normal for a star player who wants a new contract to skip voluntary workouts and Jefferson continues that trend.
This also isn't the first time it happened with Jefferson. He missed OTAs last season as well but was there for all mandatory practices with minicamp and training camp. Jefferson said that he spent that time in Miami working out and doing work for his promotional partners last year.
Should Vikings fans be concerned? Not at all. If he doesn't show up for mandatory minicamp, then it's fair to be concerned.
