The Minnesota Vikings made two first-round picks in the 2024 NFL Draft in Michigan QB J.J. McCarthy and Alabama EDGE Dallas Turner. There was plenty of controversy surrounding the picks, as the Vikings traded a lot of draft capital to go get both of them
Now that the draft is over, we can have discussions about the process and draft capital, but it's now going to shift to the players, who will suit up for the first time on Friday, May 10th at rookie minicamp.
Right after they got picked, both McCarthy and Turner flew to Minnesota and went to TCO Performance Center for their introductory press conference. When the two first-round picks met each other, McCarthy was excited to not have to play against Turner again.
These guys are glad they're on the same side now.@jjmccarthy09 @unoerra

If you recall, Turner hit McCarthy a couple of times in the Rose Bowl. He's sure happy to not have that happen again.
