The Minnesota Vikings just wrapped up their offseason program and will have a six-week hiatus until the beginning of training camp. The team announced nine public practices during training camp and it will be an exciting time for the fanbase.
Unfortunately, the Vikings are dealing with some injuries, especially at the tight end position. T.J. Hockenson is still rehabbing his torn ACL from Christmas Eve and Nick Muse missed minicamp.
Head coach Kevin O'Connell spoke to the media on Wednesday afternoon and updated the media on Muse's health.
"I just wanted to update you because I think it's been a few days since I've been able to give you guys an update. Nick Muse did just have a small clean up on his knee, something that was kind of lingering and developed to a point where we wanted to make sure he was able to have the best possible training camp he can by getting that cleaned up when we did. He'll be a full participant to start training camp at the tight end position."
It's unfortunate that Muse missed so much of the offseason because Hockenson missing time would have given him a much-needed opportunity to grow and develop. Ultimately, that went to players like Robert Tonyan, who has been impressing so far during the offseason.
Luckily for Muse, he should be ready by training camp, which is good for him potentially making the team for the second consecutive year.
