Each year, the National Football League hosts a Coach Accelerator during the spring league meeting and Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores will be taking part in it. The spring league meeting will take place in Nashville, Tennessee on May 20th-22nd.

The Accelerator is meant to help assistant coaches find head coaching jobs. The press release from the NFL has this to say on the program:

The Accelerator serves as a platform for clubs and owners to engage with qualified coaching candidates from diverse backgrounds. Candidates can build relationships with club owners and executives and further develop and hone their leadership skills. To date, the program has successfully contributed to an increase in diverse candidates being interviewed for open positions, and many past participants have been promoted and hired into more senior coaching positions.

It's good to see Flores in a program like this for multiple reasons. Flores is suing the NFL for their hiring practices and he didn't have a single head coaching interview this offseason despite his excellent work with the Vikings defense.

Last season, the Vikings had two coaches participate in the program when the meetings were at TCO Performance Center.
