The Minnesota Vikings have their 2024 NFL Draft class with seven players. They made two trade ups to prioritize their first-round picks and potential difference makers on the team moving forward and that will be the biggest key to success moving forward.

When looking at draft grades, the Vikings ranked relatively high because they got their quarterback of the future and the top defensive player per the consensus board. It makes the favorite picks from analysts relatively easy, as Pro Football Focus' Trevor Sikkema highlighted QB J.J. McCarthy as his favorite selection in the Vikings' draft.

I would also go with the Khyree Jackson selection here, but I have to give this shoutout to the McCarthy pick because the Vikings were able to get the quarterback who I think is a perfect fit for them at No. 10 without having to trade up to Nos. 4 or 5 like many mock drafts predicted.

The key to the McCarthy pick is the Vikings not having to trade up to get McCarthy was a massive win. It also works well because McCarthy is a talented player that will fit extremely well in what Kevin O'Connell wants to do.
