During his introductory press conference, the Minnesota Vikings had their former quarterback Kirk Cousins admit to tampering with his new team the Atlanta Falcons. Since then, they have been waiting for a resolution.
That is expected to come this week according to ESPN's Adam Schefter for both the Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles with running back Saquon Barkley.
The hope for the Vikings is that they end up getting some form of draft pick compensation in return. Will that happen? There isn't a lot of precedent for it. The Chicago Bears and San Francisco 49ers exchanged picks after the latter tampered with Lance Briggs. The aforementioned Eagles had picks sent to them by the Arizona Cardinals for tampering with Jonathan Gannon.
The situation with Cousins is different, as he admitted it directly to the media. That isn't something that you see with any form of consistency. Will they get draft picks? We don't know for sure, but it's not out of the question.
