The Minnesota Vikings didn't draft quarterback J.J. McCarthy for his ability to pitch a baseball and that's a good thing.

McCarthy and fellow rookie edge rusher Dallas Turner each threw out the first pitch at Tuesday night's Minnesota Twins game against the Tampa Bay Rays. Neither player had a good first pitch both of which went past the catcher.

Now, it's not a big deal that Turner struggled to throw a baseball. His position doesn't require handling a ball, but it does for McCarthy. In fact, that's all his position is about. Many quarterbacks were baseball players with a lot of them having been pitchers.

Well, needless to say that fans and analysts were ruthless in roasting McCarthy for his pitch.
