The Minnesota Vikings have been rumored to move up for a quarterback in the 2024 NFL Draft for the last few months and they have finally done it. They have acquired the 10th overall pick from the New York Jets and selected Michigan QB J.J. McCarthy.

This is one of the more fascinating drafts in franchise history for the Vikings. They have never taken a quarterback in the top 10 in franchise history with their highest being Daunte Culpepper in 1999. With this trade, they are set to do that for the first time.

The Vikings stuck to their guns and they traded up to 10th overall by giving up 11, 129 and 157. They also get 203 back in return. This is a massive win for the Vikings, as they get their quarterback and still get to pick at 23rd overall.

Grade: A+
