The Minnesota Vikings don't have many holes on the roster currently. They have their questions answered at the majority of the premium positions when it comes to the starters. Outside of cornerback, the Vikings should feel good about their roster projecting forward.

The one spot that still has major questions is at WR3. Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison are set at the top two spots but there is primed to be a battle for WR3. Brandon Powell and Jalen Nailor are the two most likely players to win the job but there could be an addition on the horizon.

Former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Hunter Renfrow has been mentioned as a potential target for the Vikings. As a slot receiver, Renfrow caught 103 passes in 2001 and made the Pro Bowl for the Raiders. Another name that could be an option is UFL Offensive Player of the Year Hakeem Butler. He thrived with the St. Louis Battlehawks for the second consecutive season and was also a first-team All-UFL wide receiver.

After the playoff game this past weekend, San Antonio Brahmas head coach Wade Phillips told Butler that he would call his NFL contacts and tell them that he deserves to play on Sunday's in the fall. Who would likely be his first call?

Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Wes Phillips, Wade's son.

Yes, that connection could end up being the key to the Vikings landing the UFL star. However, it doesn't mean that the Vikings are definitely interested. Having the inside track on information on the player is increasingly relevant when making these decisions and Phillips has exactly that.
