The Minnesota Vikings lost one of their own as rookie cornerback Khyree Jackson passed away in a tragic car accident on Saturday morning at the age of 24.
The news came about quickly on Saturday morning and was ultimately reported by The Oregonian's James Crepea before being confirmed by the team shortly thereafter. Teammates and coaches expressed their grief on social media after finding out, including talking about how good Jackson was as a person.
Vikings rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy followed suit by expressing his personal grief about the passing of Jackson on his Instagram story, as the two were in the same 2024 NFL Draft class.
