The 2024 NFL Draft is bound to be full of surprises for many reasons. The quarterbacks are set to be the biggest aspect to that drama. After Caleb Williams goes at first overall to the Chicago Bears, nobody really knows what's going to happen.
According to ESPN's Tom Pelissero, the New England Patriots are expected to stand pat at 3rd overall and take Drake Maye.
After weeks of listening to offers for the No. 3 overall pick, all signs now point to the #Patriots standing pat and picking.

The belief within the league is that pick will most likely be North Carolina QB Drake Maye.
That would be a real disappointing blow for the Minnesota Vikings, as they have been continuously linked to Maye throughout the process. He is a perfect fit for what the Vikings want to do on offense and has the elite traits that you look for at the quarterback position.
If the Vikings can't end up getting Maye, there are still plenty of good players available for the Vikings to draft, including J.J. McCarthy.
