The Miami Dolphins are in full swing in training camp as they look to end their drought of 23 consecutive seasons without a playoff win.
They just gave quarterback Tua Tagovailoa a massive extension that will pay him $53 million per year, and their duo of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle are at the peak of their powers.
Speaking to the media, Waddle went out of his way to highlight a name that may not get a ton of recognition from fans, but may end up being a name to remember.
Waddle said that second-year cornerback Ethan Bonner has made a crazy jump in terms of talent from 2023 to 2024. Waddle said Bonner is more patient at the line of scrimmage and that he’s one of the three fastest guys on the team.
Jaylen Waddle: Ethan Bonner has had the craziest jump from any player from last year. More patient at the line. Using his long arms. He can stay hip to hip with anyone. He’s confident. He’s playing great ball. He really is top three fastest on the team. pic.twitter.com/aC3oKBCebh

Bonner himself said he feels more confident entering his sophomore campaign.
“"I just want to be the best player I can be,” Bonner said. “I've gained a little confidence, I think I deserve to be here. At the end of the day, I do want to be on the field, I want to play."

The Dolphins’ cornerback room is already star-studded with Jalen Ramsey and new free agent signing Kenall Fuller. The undrafted man out of Stanford is looking to make a big jump in his second season and become a big part of the rotation.
