The Los Angeles Chargers were a bit slow to address the wide receiver position this offseason, to the concern of many fans. Now it appears that the front office will leave no stone unturned when it comes to that position, looking to help make Justin Herbert as successful as he can be this coming season.
After trading Keenan Allen to the Chicago Bears and watching Mike Williams join the New York Jets in free agency, here are the wide receivers the team has added:
Ladd McConkey- draft
Brenden Rice- draft
Cornelius Johnson- draft
D.J. Chark- free agent
Leon Johnson III- undrafted free agent
Jaelen Gill- undrafted free agent
Jaylen Johnson- undrafted free agent
That gives the team plenty of new options at the position but it might not be done. Reports indicate that the team has visited with veteran wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling meets with Los Angeles Chargers
Valdes-Scantling began his career with the Green Bay Packers, catching passes from Aaron Rodgers before going to Kansas City, where he was part of a Super Bowl-winning team with Patrick Mahomes.
MVS made just 21 catches last year, the least he's had in a season in his career. He battled a drop problem all year. For his career, he has 186 catches for 3,155 yards and 16 touchdowns.
It remains to be seen if he will be offered a contract. Also on Monday, former Chargers wide receiver Jalen Guyton signed a deal with the Las Vegas Raiders.
